Osprey Blue-Sky Filter Announcement: The Results Are In: No Explosion Protection Required
In 2016, Osprey Corporation commissioned DEKRA Insight, a global leader in process safety management, to conduct a combustible dust hazard analysis (DHA) on the Osprey Blue-Sky filter for both the American and European markets. The purpose of the study was to determine if there were potential dust explosion hazards that would require the filter to be equipped with explosion protection. The guiding documents for the studies were NFPA 652 and NFPA 654 in the United States, and the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU in Europe.

Loretta Scott – New Purchasing Manager
We are pleased to introduce Loretta Scott as our new Purchasing Manager. Loretta is from Toccoa, GA. She graduated from Brenau University and received her degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. After college, she began her employment in various industries.

J.S. Buchanan Retires
It is with great regret that we announce the retirement of Julius, “J.S”, Buchanan on May 10th, 2017. J.S. started with Osprey on July 13th, 1998 as the Manager of Purchasing. J.S. was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. He attended Southern Technology from 1963 to 1965. In 1968, he enrolled in the Army and served in the Vietnam War.
